ABOUT BBMA North Lakes
The Northlakes Dojo first opened in September 2014 by Sensei Chris Elder in the Lake Haven Shopping Centre Complex and relocated to new huge premises at 5 Botham Close Charmhaven in September 2016.

Northlakes Black Belt Martial Arts caters for children, adults and families in fostering skill development, a positive outlook, inner confidence, self-discipline, fitness, and respect .
In addition to karate classes, we offer kickboxing and traditional weapons training.
We also have a great competition pathway for our students both nationally and internationally.
The school does a lot of work for the community by teaching at local schools, self-defence seminars for women, children and demonstrations in the public eye. All instructors, assistant instructors and staff undergo a safe working with children check to ensure our children’s safety.

Sensei Chris
​
Founder
has a passion for martial arts and has dedicated his life to sharing this gift with his students. After a long career in Design & Engineering, Sensei Chris made the decision to take the big step and pursue his dream to become a full-time martial arts instructor and open the North Lakes Dojo in 2014. he has now retired from teaching to move to the next stage of his life with his wife.

Sensei Bec
​
Head Teacher
Sensei Bec has been with BBMA for over 10 years and holds a 3rd Dan Black Belt in Karate and Kickboxing and 2nd Dan Black Belt in Kobudo. NCAS Silver accredited AKF coach, Senior First Aid Officer and BBMA Certified Teacher Trained.
Sensei Bec has a Masters degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology and is a full-time instructor for Northlakes Black Belt Martial Arts.
Sensei Lianne

Program Director/Instructor
Sensei Lianne has been with BBMA for over 8 years, and holds a black belt in Karate, Kickboxing and Kobudo. NCAS Bronze accredited AKF coach, Senior First Aid Officer and is BBMA Certified Teacher Trained. Sensei Lianne has a background in primary school teaching.
